Skepticism
2014, Gibson Chase-Pinkney

(Verse I-1)
Albert Einstein was a man who knew a thing or two
About the things that we don't know and those we think we do
The only thing I know for sure is just how little we know
So come on down and grab a chair and join our big old stupid show
Has it

(Verse II-1)
Ever occurred to you that an educated chimpanzee with basic skills in reasoning
might not build a utopia if presented with the chance?

Could it maybe be possible that any idea that coincides exactly with your pre-existing
biases might not be best in this circumstance

(Verse I-2)
Christopher hitchens was a guy who knew how to argue
about the toxicity of blind faith and the damage it can do
But he supplemented his logic with johnny walker and cigars
Dead before he was 64, no death bed confession after all

(Verse II-2)
Is it maybe conceivable that none of has have the slightest clue what we're going on about
and it might be worth it to take a look

Is it probably quite probable that any deific being hidden from all observation
might be a bit too difficult to explain with just one book?

(Verse I-3)
Ray kurzweil is a guy who thinks we can be immortal some day
All we'll have to do's an injection or two to alter our dna
Thousands of tiny robots swimming in our blood
A race of near immortals stuck on a shrinking ball of mud

(Verse II-3)
Is it maybe believable that multinational corporations might not have your best interest in mind
when thinking about new business strategies

And could it maybe be feasible that in a world of finite resources planned obsolescence might not be
as good a course of action as they'd have you believe?
